STEP 1

Selecting the necessary flour for making Mexican tortillas.
STEP 2

Sift 150 grams of wheat flour and 180 grams of corn flour through a sieve into a large bowl.
STEP 3

Add a pinch of salt to a container with two hundred milliliters of hot water, heated to 70-80 degrees and stir well.
STEP 4

Add hot water little by little to the bowl with flour and stir with a whisk.
STEP 5

Add fifty grams of heated butter to the flour and stir with a whisk to knead the dough.
STEP 6

We continue to knead the dough with our hands and add a handful of corn flour to prevent it from sticking.
STEP 7

We make a kind of roll from the dough and sprinkle the table with flour.
STEP 8

We divide our roll into eight approximately equal parts.
STEP 9

Roll out each piece of dough to flat cakes 1.5-2 millimeters thick.
STEP 10

Using a suitable lid, we make flat cakes of the same shape with a diameter of 20-22 centimeters.
STEP 11

In a preheated frying pan with a thick bottom, fry the tortillas for one minute on each side, without adding oil, and wrap them in a prepared towel. Then we put the cakes in the refrigerator, after putting them in a bag.
STEP 12

The result is very tasty Mexican tortilla cakes, which can be used for food throughout the week and can be prepared in any dish with various fillings.
