Manti with fish and rice

These mantas will turn the head of any guest! Manti with fish and rice is a tasty and nutritious food, the culinary recipe for which was told to me in Uzbekistan. It was probably the manti that I ate the most there, but it didn’t affect my mood or well-being at all, because it was really tasty and very juicy.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make manti with fish and rice? Prepare the ingredients: water, onion, flour, eggs, rice, fish (I used herring) or fish fillet, salt and spices.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First of all make the dough. First add salt to the sifted flour and mix.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then add the egg and stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Next, add water to the dough and knead the dough (with your hands).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Roll the dough into a ball and leave for about half an hour.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Thaw the fish, wash and cut it (or take the fish fillet straight away). Cut the fish fillet into cubes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Finely chop the onion and combine with fish fillet and salt. Mix thoroughly.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Then add boiled rice and egg. Stir.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add spices (black, ground red pepper, and you can also add a mixture of spices for fish). Mix thoroughly.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Take the dough in small portions and roll into thin circles with a diameter of approximately 13 cm.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place the filling in the middle of the circle (about a tablespoon).

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Next, the opposite two sides are compressed in the middle, and the other two sides are pulled towards the tucks and corners are formed. Then the corners are connected on each side.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

You can put the manti in the freezer, or you can start cooking right away: place the manti on the grate of a steamer (which must first be greased with oil) and steam for 30 minutes.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

At the end of the specified time, the manti are ready.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Additionally, manti can be topped with sour cream sauce and sprinkled with herbs. Bon appetit!

I love manti very much, I really like rice and fish, but this is the first time I have cooked manti with fish and rice))). I used pollock fillet. The filling is certainly unusual, but it turned out interesting and tasty! I recommend this to those who love fish and culinary experiments. Thanks for the recipe, Daria!
