Kefir shortbread

STEP 1

Prepare the ingredients needed for the recipe. For better mixing, eggs and kefir should be at room temperature, and the butter should be softened first.
STEP 2

Pour sugar into a bowl. Add butter little by little, stirring with a whisk.
STEP 3

Mix sugar and butter until smooth.
STEP 4

Add the eggs into the resulting mixture using a whisk.
STEP 5

Beat eggs with sugar and butter mixture until smooth.
STEP 6

Take about 1/3 of the flour, mix with soda, vanilla and salt.
STEP 7

Combine the resulting flour mixture with the butter-egg mixture. Mix.
STEP 8

Add kefir and milk, stir until smooth.
STEP 9

Gradually add the remaining flour.
STEP 10

Knead the dough by hand.
STEP 11

Roll out the resulting dough into a layer at least 1 cm thick.
STEP 12

Using a mold, cut out the cakes (you can use a glass or cup).
STEP 13

Place the cakes on a greased baking sheet.
STEP 14

Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 200-220 degrees, avoiding the formation of a golden brown crust. This is necessary to ensure that the cakes remain soft.
