    STEP 1

How to bake Idaho potatoes in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For such a dish you need to take not large, medium and small tubers, preferably young potatoes, because they will be baked with the skin on.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the potatoes in running water with a brush, dry and first cut into two halves, each of them into slices, usually three or four pieces.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour water into the pan, add a little salt to it, turn on the heat. When the water boils, place the potato wedges in a pan of water and cook for no more than two minutes from the moment of boiling.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Using a slotted spoon, remove the potatoes from the water and dry them on a paper towel. Let cool a little, but not completely, the main thing is to be patient with your hands, since you need to marinate the potatoes with your hands. Place the potatoes in a bowl, add spices, finely chopped or minced garlic and olive oil. Mix the potatoes with your hands, being careful not to break the slices. If you wish, you can add your favorite spices to the potatoes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Leave the potatoes to sit in the bowl with the spices for about 10 minutes so that each slice is well coated with the spices and oil.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

On a dry baking sheet (you can cover it with parchment, but it is not necessary, the potatoes will be in oil and will not dry to the baking sheet) place the slices of pickled potatoes in rows so that they do not touch each other. Pour the remaining marinade over the top of the potatoes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the baking sheet with the potatoes in the oven and bake them for about 25 minutes. The times are approximate, rely on the operation of your oven, the potatoes should be slightly browned.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the prepared baked Idaho potatoes at home onto a plate and serve with fresh vegetables, ketchup or any other sauce to taste. Bon appetit!

As soon as new potatoes appeared in the store, I wanted to cook Idaho potatoes in the oven. With minimal effort and time, the result is an amazingly tasty dish. I like it when potatoes have skin on them. It has a special taste, and more vitamins are retained. The main thing is to wash the tubers thoroughly, I do this with a vegetable brush. I also liked the technique of briefly boiling the slices. Indeed, the potatoes turn out soft and tender inside. And thanks to the marinade containing vegetable oil, you get an appetizing golden brown crust. You can always choose the taste to suit your own taste. This time I took everything on the list. The composition is very good. Especially the presence of garlic. The aroma when baking is so tantalizing that you want the potatoes to bake faster! It took me exactly 25 minutes. The dish is gorgeous, I recommend it!

I like the combination of smoked paprika and potatoes. Budget fast food option for children. I kept the potatoes in boiling water for 3 minutes, then cooled them a little and then all the spices and oil. It’s always hard to guess the quantity with salt, but this time it worked.

I made great potatoes! Only my potatoes were not young, so I decided to peel them. I didn’t add paprika; it seemed to me that salt, garlic and herbs would be quite enough. I needed significantly less oil: 850 gr. I used 2 tbsp of potatoes. oils I baked my Idaho on a baking sheet lined with parchment. It turned out very tasty!!! The potatoes scattered with a bang.
