  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make Khrenovina with hot capsicum? Prepare your food. The set is standard, nothing extra, but hot pepper is added for piquancy and spiciness, and sugar and salt are added to maintain a taste balance. Horseradish is needed for harvesting, fresh, juicy, and not stored for a long time after digging.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the tomatoes, cut them into quarters, and cut out the place where the stalk attaches.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Horseradish is a very vigorous plant and when chopping it, especially if it is done the old fashioned way - using a manual meat grinder, it will severely corrode the mucous membrane of the eye. Fortunately, in our conditions there are many kitchen helpers - household appliances. The horseradish roots need to be washed and peeled with a knife, cut into small pieces, you can immediately grind it in a blender into porridge, or later along with other ingredients.

    STEP 4

Peel the garlic and cut the cloves into large pieces. You can pass it through a press, or grind it with other ingredients in a blender. The second option is better in that when vegetables are processed together, less pungent fumes will be released from garlic and horseradish, which irritate the mucous membranes of the eyes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place all the cooked vegetables in a deep container or large enamel pan (metal utensils made of oxidizing metal cannot be used for this recipe). Wash the hot pepper and remove the stem and seeds. We send it to the rest of the vegetables. Grind everything thoroughly with a blender until a paste of homogeneous consistency is obtained.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add sugar and salt, mix. Let the mixture sit in the pan for about an hour at room temperature.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

In the meantime, prepare jars for preparation. They need to be washed in a soda solution and sterilized using one of the usual methods: in a water bath, in a microwave or in an oven. Wash the lids and boil.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

We put the horseradish into jars, roll them up and put them away for storage in a cool place. Horseradish is a powerful preservative, so this preparation does not require sterilization. Bon appetit!
