Horse mackerel baked in the oven

STEP 1

Wash and clean the horse mackerel. Remove heads and entrails. If the fish is quite large, you can remove the ridge by laying it flat.
STEP 2

Add some spices to the fish.
STEP 3

Add salt.
STEP 4

Stir and leave for 10 minutes.
STEP 5

Add oil, stir and leave for another 10 minutes.
STEP 6

Place the fish tightly in one layer on the prepared baking sheet.
STEP 7

Top with chopped onion and bay leaf.
STEP 8

Place a second layer of fish tightly on top. Even at this moment, you can spread herbs, halved cherry tomatoes and butter on the fish, everything to your taste.
STEP 9

Place the fish in the oven at 170 degrees. In 15 minutes it will be cooked, but will be steamed and stewed - for diet-conscious eaters. And after 20-30 minutes it will dry out and become grilled. In this form, it is good to serve with beer, or prepare a delicious salad with fresh herbs and summer vegetables and serve with cold white wine.
