STEP 1

How to make homemade cheese fondue at home? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. There is no single standard for preparing cheese fondue. STEP 2

To prepare fondue, you need to use a fondue maker, which is a fireproof dish in the shape of a bowl or pot, on a stand with a burner. Manufacturers present a wide variety of models, you can choose any one to suit your taste. For cheese fondue, it is better to use a fondue pot with ceramic dishes so that the cheese does not separate during melting.
STEP 3

Peel the garlic clove and cut it into two parts. Rub the sides of the fondue pot with garlic cloves from the cut side. The wine should be dry white. Strong alcohol helps melt the cheese faster. Pour white wine into the fondue bowl. Bring to a boil.
STEP 4

Add cheese to the wine, stir the ingredients and continue melting, stirring constantly with a spatula. Add starch and stir. Starch is needed so that the melted cheese mass becomes uniform in consistency and does not separate. When the mixture melts and becomes more homogeneous, add nutmeg, ground black pepper and salt to taste. I added a pinch of ground dry basil, the taste of the cheese paste became even more pleasant and vibrant.
STEP 5

Stir the mixture until it turns into a homogeneous mass. Remove the bowl from the heat. Pour the cheese into a serving container. Cut the bread into small pieces so that they can be easily placed on a fondue fork. Instead of bread, you can use crackers, pieces of fried meat, vegetables or grapes. Bon appetit!
