    STEP 1

How to fry trout on a grill on a grill? Prepare the necessary products. You can take any fish from the salmon family. I have trout. It is, of course, better to take chilled fish than frozen fish - it contains much more useful substances. Take a piece of medium thickness so that it has time to fry, but does not become dry. You can also use trout steak. Any vegetable oil will do, and garlic can be replaced with garlic powder.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the piece of fish thoroughly and remove the films. I have skin-on trout fillets, so I also carefully removed the bones. If you fry trout steaks on the grill, you don’t have to remove the bones.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add salt to vegetable oil. It is better to use coarse sea salt.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add minced garlic or garlic powder. I pass the clove through a press, but you can chop it with a knife or grate it on a fine grater. At this point, you can also add other favorite spices and seasonings to the marinating oil. Dried dill, oregano, and allspice are perfect here. In my opinion, noble fish does not need extra flavorings - it is already delicious!

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the resulting marinade over the fish and cover with film or a lid.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Leave for 30 minutes to 12 hours. Then remove the pieces of chopped garlic from the fish with a paper towel, otherwise it will burn during the frying process.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Heat the coals if you have a charcoal grill. You can use ready-made coals or light wood and wait until it burns and turns into hot coals. Place the fish on the grill grate and cook, turning often enough to prevent the fish from burning. Keep in mind that trout is an oily fish, and fish oil dripping during baking can cause the coals to ignite. Total frying time is about 20 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Serve this fish immediately while it is hot and fragrant. This fish does not need a side dish. You can serve it with fresh seasonal vegetables or vegetable salad. Bon appetit!

I love fish! Very often I cook trout in a frying pan and in the oven - it always turns out very tasty, our family really likes it. Parsley and lemon give the fish a special taste! We haven’t tried cooking trout on the grill yet, but we’ll definitely try your recipe! Vegetables baked on coals, such as eggplants and potatoes, are good as a side dish.
