Grain side dish French Rice
This wonderful fluffy rice recipe will be appreciated by all family members! The French also love rice and use it in both salads and side dishes. The method of preparing it in French also depends on this.

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat it, add washed and dried rice (it should not be wet!) and stir so that every grain is in the oil.
STEP 3
Fry until slightly translucent.
STEP 4
Then transfer to boiling water with salt and cook as usual. The volume of water should be 2 times the volume of rice. Reduce heat to low and cover the pan with a lid. And do not stir while cooking! It will take about 15 minutes to cook.
STEP 5
Rice must be cooked until the water has completely boiled away. In the end it will turn out beautiful and crumbly.

The rice turns out as it should - crumbly, grain to grain. Thanks to the author! I will also offer the option of rice with onions fried in a frying pan. Try for variety.

Well, what kind of recipe is this?! 160 gr. rice (this is ~ 2/3 cup) and 0.5 cups of water, and there should be 2 times more water than rice. How is that??? Boiled rice is a capricious dish; the ratio of water and rice is very important to make it crumbly. What does it mean: "vegetable oil - to taste." Whoever cooks this kind of rice for the first time can know how much of it is needed “to taste”. According to the recipe, the rice should be fried until translucent. It only becomes transparent when you put it in oil and stir. After a couple of minutes of frying it turns white. So should you fry it or just mix it with oil? In short, nothing is clear. The rice in the photo is so appetizing. But it was obviously not prepared according to the recipe presented.

Personally, when fried, the rice grains remain translucent, and then when the rice is cooked, it turns white. You need 2 tablespoons of oil. Yes, I made a mistake with water, but it is said that you need twice as much as rice... And you don’t need to swear right away...... spoil the mood......
