Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make Georgians with minced meat in a frying pan? Prepare all the indicated ingredients. You can use any minced meat, I use homemade chicken and pork.
STEP 2
Sift flour into a deep bowl, add salt and beat in a chicken egg. Wash the egg first with baking soda to remove any possible contamination. Mix everything. The dough will be dumplings, if you already have your own recipe, you can prepare it according to it. Sometimes vegetable oil is added to the dough for elasticity, this is optional.
STEP 3
Add warm water little by little, stirring each time. Knead the dough and leave it on the table for a few minutes. The dough should be elastic and not stick to your hands. It may take you more or less flour than it did for me. Be guided by the consistency of the dough, you can read more about this in the article, the link to it is at the end of the recipe.
STEP 4
Wash, peel and chop the vegetables. Cut the onion into cubes, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Set aside some of the chopped onion and add it to the minced meat. Heat a frying pan, pour in a little oil. Fry the vegetables for a few minutes. How to choose the right frying pan and oil for frying, read the articles, the link to them is at the end of this recipe.
STEP 5
Add the remaining chopped onion, salt, pepper to the minced meat and mix.
STEP 6
Punch down the dough and place it on a floured table. Roll into a thin flat cake. Adjust the thickness of the dough to suit your family's taste. I hope that children will try my Georgians, so I don’t make the dough very thin, as they like.
STEP 7
Spread the minced meat and onions evenly onto the flatbread.
STEP 8
Roll the flatbread with minced meat into a roll and cut into small rolls, 2 - 3 cm thick.
STEP 9
Place the sliced meatloaves in the pan with the sautéed vegetables, filling side up.
STEP 10
Dilute tomato paste with water, about 2/3 - 1 cup, add salt, pepper and pour this sauce over the rolls. Place the frying pan on low heat. If desired, you can add bay leaf. Simmer the Georgians until cooked for 15 - 20 minutes.
STEP 11
Serve the finished dish hot, placing 1-2 meat rolls on a plate and pouring sauce with vegetables.
