  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make whey pancakes without eggs? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You will need a very small set of products. Whey can be used either purchased or homemade, left over after making cottage cheese or cottage cheese. If the whey is salty, do not add salt to the pancakes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Warm the whey slightly. Add sugar and a pinch of salt, stir until the sugar dissolves. This will happen faster in warm serum.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add pre-sifted flour to the whey and knead the dough. Mix it with a whisk until smooth, the dough should be free of lumps and quite thick. Adjust the amount of flour according to its condition; you may need more or less than specified in the recipe.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add soda to the dough and stir vigorously so that the soda is evenly distributed throughout it.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Heat the frying pan well, pour vegetable oil into it. Warm it up well. Place small pancakes with a spoon in a frying pan and fry them over medium heat on both sides until golden brown. While frying, periodically add oil, just don’t add a lot of it at once, as the pancakes absorb it very easily!

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

    Serve the pancakes hot.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

The inside of the whey pancakes turns out very airy. Bon appetit!

Who doesn't love fluffy pancakes? So I decided to cook them according to this recipe. I kneaded the dough following the recipe and let it sit for a while. After adding baking soda, a reaction was immediately visible. Probably the secret of these pancakes is in the heated whey) I cooked fluffy whey pancakes without eggs in a frying pan with butter. Then I laid them out on paper napkins to absorb excess oil. The pancakes are really fluffy, airy and very tasty. I served them for tea with jam. Everyone loved it, great recipe!

This is the first time I’ve seen pancakes turn out so fluffy without yeast. The secret must be in the heated serum? They usually don’t rise for me; I start them with yogurt, kefir, or even just milk. The only thing that helps is if you add a pinch of baking powder, but they still don’t turn out the same as yours. I’ll definitely try it with serum next time, thanks for the tip. And yet, some people add eggs (or semolina) to such pancakes, but it is better not to do this, they seem to bind the dough, making it tighter and denser.

Thank you, Olga. Warmed whey reacts better with soda, which is why the pancakes turn out so fluffy. It is also very good to use acidified whey or kefir; this is also beneficial for pancakes.

I always use homemade whey, it remains after making cottage cheese, but you can also buy it in the store

Irisha, the recipe is worthy of attention, I’m taking it to KK and voting! I used less flour - about 200 g, baked perfectly, tasted like a sponge cake (I made it with finely chopped apples). The dough is wonderful, it doesn’t spread, it’s good that there are no eggs (for allergy sufferers). I would call it custard (according to technology). By the way, I have a modern frying pan, so it took a little oil. I will experiment with fillings!
