STEP 1
Take products from the suggested list.
STEP 2
First, start cutting the fish. Clean it, remove the entrails, head, tail, fins. Rinse well and fillet. Cut the fillet into portions.
STEP 3
Peel and cut the onions into half rings.
STEP 4
Heat a little oil (adjust the amount of oil according to the fat content of the fish; if the fish is fatty (trout, salmon or mackerel, as in the proposed recipe), then take the minimum amount of oil. Place the onion in the pan and fry it a little.
STEP 5
Place pieces of fish on the onion and fry a little along with the onion.
STEP 6
Turn over to the other side, using a spatula to grab the onion. And lightly fry the other side again - just “seal” the fish.
STEP 7
Add sour cream, salt to taste, pepper, cover with a lid and simmer at low simmer for 25 minutes (again, depends on what kind of fish you have).
STEP 8
Fish stewed in sour cream is ready. Serve it with a potato side dish or simply with fresh bread.
