  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake fish in foil over coals? Prepare all the products indicated in the recipe. Which fish is better to take? Any fish will do, be it carp, pink salmon, mackerel, etc. This time I baked trout. Gut the fish, remove the scales and remove the gills. If desired, the tail, head and fins can be cut off. Rinse the carcass and dry with napkins. Also rinse and dry a few thyme sprigs. Instead of fresh thyme, it is permissible to take dry herbs.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First of all, prepare the aroma oil. To do this, remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance and leave it at room temperature until softened. Place the oil in a deep, convenient container. Separate the fragrant thyme leaves from the stems with your hands, or chop the greens as finely as possible with a knife. Send to butter. Add a pinch of ground black pepper and paprika. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Lay the foil on a flat surface. Spread the foil with aromatic oil, as in the photo (use a little less than half the oil).

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Salt the fish to taste on all sides. Place trout in oil on foil. Place a sprig of thyme, a couple of lemon slices and a little butter inside the belly.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Using a sharp knife, make several cuts on the back of the trout. Place a slice of thinly sliced lemon in each hole.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Brush the surface of the trout with softened, flavored butter. Wrap the carcass in several layers of foil.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Light up the grill. When the fire burns out and the coals remain, you can begin the main stage of cooking.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the trout on the grill and bake until done, periodically turning the fish from one side to the other so that it cooks evenly. It took me about 30 minutes. Cooking time depends on the level of heat in the grill and the size of the fish.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Serve the aromatic trout hot. Offer it with fresh vegetables, sauces and young herbs.

Delicious fish in foil - minimum calories, maximum taste. It will delight you with its aroma and tender meat. If you are planning to go fishing or just go to a fish store, then don’t forget about this recipe, I highly recommend it! I baked carp, it turned out just awesome! I only added the stuffing stage - carrots, onions and spices. Thanks for the recipe!
