STEP 1
How to make Heh from fish in Korean at home? Clean the fish from scales, remove the entrails and bones, and wash well. You can use absolutely any fish, the main thing is that it is fresh. The recipe used salmon. Pat the fillets dry with paper towels. If you wish, you can leave the fish with the skin on or remove it. From experience, pieces with skin turn out tastier and juicier, but here again it’s a matter of taste.
STEP 2
Cut the fish into small pieces, approximately 1cm x 5cm.
STEP 3
Pour in vinegar and mix thoroughly. The pieces will begin to turn white, indicating that the marinating process has begun. Place the fish in a food container, cover with a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
STEP 4
Meanwhile, prepare the remaining ingredients. Peel the carrots, onions and garlic and rinse under running water. Chop the Korean carrots on a Korean grater, so the salad will look very beautiful and appetizing. If a Korean grater is not available, then you can get by with a regular one (in this case, you should use a large cut.
STEP 5
Cut the onions in half and then chop into thin half rings. Leave about 20-30 grams of onion for frying (cut it as finely as possible).

Chop the garlic finely. Mix spices (3 types of peppers) in a small container.
STEP 7
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Send there half the chopped garlic and 20-30 grams of finely chopped onion. Stir, leave for literally 3-5 seconds, during which time the onions and garlic will become transparent, and the boiling oil will be saturated with aromas.
STEP 8
Place carrots and onions in half rings into a large container. Salt, sugar and sprinkle with the prepared pepper mixture. Next, pour in hot vegetable oil with garlic and onions. Add the rest of the chopped fresh garlic.
STEP 9
Mix everything thoroughly with a spoon.
STEP 10
Remove the fish from the refrigerator and drain the resulting liquid.
STEP 11
Add vegetables to the fish and mix everything. Taste for salt and acid. If something is missing according to your taste, then add the missing ingredient. Let the salad sit for about another hour in the refrigerator.
STEP 12
Toss the salad again before serving. Sprinkle with fresh herbs.
