A wheat bun is suitable, not sweet, with a neutral taste of white bread. Any cheese: hard varieties, semi-hard ones, as well as mozzarella and even blue cheese are suitable.

    The bun does not have to be very fresh and soft; on the contrary, it is easier to cut a bun that has already begun to go stale. In the center of the loaf, use a sharp knife or a sharp-edged spoon (such as an ice cream scoop) to make a hole approximately large enough to hold 1 egg.

    Cut the butter into cubes and place in the cavity of the bun. You can replace butter with any vegetable oil and use a silicone brush to grease the inside of the bun. For a more satisfying option, you can also add pieces of bacon, sausage, mushrooms, or even chicken or meat.

    Wash the egg very well. This must be done, because... Eggshells contain a huge number of bacteria. It is best to wash the eggs with hot water and use a special product and a brush. Carefully, so that the yolk remains intact, beat the egg into the recess in the bun. However, it is not at all necessary to keep the yolk intact - do it to your liking. You can beat the egg with a fork in a separate bowl and then pour it into the bun.

    Salt the egg. At this stage, you can pepper it or add some of your favorite seasonings: garlic powder, a pinch of Provençal herbs or paprika - it’s a matter of taste!
