Dressing for borscht without beets
With vegetable dressing you can prepare aromatic cabbage soup even in winter! This winter dressing is suitable for both soups and borscht.

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Finely chop the cabbage.
STEP 2

Finely chop the tomatoes.
STEP 3

Finely chop the onion. And greens (optional).
STEP 4

Grate the carrots (finely/coarsely as usual for you).
STEP 5

Chop the pepper into strips.
STEP 6

Combine all the vegetables in a deep bowl and mix. Simmer for 20 minutes on low heat. Then add sugar. Add salt. Add oil. Keep on fire for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
STEP 7

Pour in 9% vinegar, mix thoroughly and simmer for another 5 minutes.
STEP 8

Place the hot mixture into sterile jars.
STEP 9

Roll up the lids, turn over and wrap for 12 hours until completely cooled.
