Dough pies without yeast in a frying pan

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Let's prepare the ingredients according to the list. Pour warm milk into a deep bowl; milk can be used at any fat content. Naturally, the higher the percentage of fat in the milk, the richer the dough will be. Add sugar, salt, soda, pour in vegetable oil, mix.
STEP 2

It is better to sift the wheat flour twice in order to better saturate it with oxygen, then products from such dough will turn out softer and airier. Pour the flour into the bowl with the liquid in small portions and knead the dough with a spoon.
STEP 3

When it becomes difficult to mix the dough with a spoon, place it on a floured work surface and continue kneading the dough. The dough should not turn out too tough, but at the same time it should not stick to your hands.
STEP 4

You can immediately proceed to shaping the pies. I used homemade apple jam from garden apples for the filling. You can use any filling for such pies, and not just sweet ones: meat, mushrooms, potatoes or cabbage; it will also be delicious with jam, preserves or fresh fruits and berries.
STEP 5

Divide the dough into small pieces of equal size, the quantity depends on the desired size of the finished pies. I got 12 pieces.
STEP 6

Roll each piece into a ball, flatten it with your palm and roll it out with a rolling pin into a not very thin cake.
STEP 7

Place the filling in the center of the flatbread. We fasten the edges of the dough so that the filling does not leak out during frying, form the pies, and turn them over with the seam down.
STEP 8

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it. Place the pies on the hot oil. Fry each batch of pies over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
STEP 9

To ensure that the filling, especially if it is raw meat, is well fried, after turning the pies over, it is better to cover the frying pan with a lid and continue frying under the lid. Remove the pies from the frying pan, place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil, then transfer to a plate for serving. . Bon appetit!
