Dough for Viennese waffles in an electric waffle iron

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make dough for Viennese waffles in an electric waffle iron? Prepare your food. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance. This is done so that it softens and is easy to work with. You can immediately cut it into pieces and put it in a deep container in which you will prepare the dough - this way it will become soft faster. Choose high-quality and natural oil, without vegetable additives.
STEP 2

Add sugar to the pieces of butter in a deep container. Mix the ingredients using a mixer at low speed. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
STEP 3

Next, beat the chicken eggs into the oil. Beat all ingredients again until smooth, but at high speed.
STEP 4

Pour the milk into the ladle and heat it a little, to 35-40 degrees. Carefully pour the lukewarm milk into the container, little by little, without stopping whisking the future waffle dough.
STEP 5

After all the milk has been poured in, add a little lemon juice to the dough. Mix flour with baking powder. Then sift them through a sieve and also add them in parts to the container with the rest of the ingredients. Continue kneading the dough. Bring it until smooth so that there are no lumps.
STEP 6

Adjust the consistency of the dough with the amount of flour. It should turn out creamy, like for pancakes, but a little thicker. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. This is done so that gluten is released from the flour. Then you can proceed directly to baking waffles.
STEP 7

To do this, preheat a waffle iron or multi-baker with special attachments inserted for making Viennese waffles. In this case, be sure to grease the panels with a small amount of vegetable oil so that the waffles do not stick and can be easily removed from the mold. The most convenient way to do this is with a silicone brush.
STEP 8

Place 2 tablespoons of waffle batter in the center on the heated panels (you can quickly spread the batter from the center to the edges using a spoon) and close the lid of the waffle iron (multi-baker). Bake the waffles for 5-7 minutes until they are a nice golden color. Check their readiness periodically, because waffle irons have different power levels. Remove the finished waffles from the mold and use a knife to trim them if necessary.
STEP 9

Viennese waffles made from this dough are especially delicious freshly baked. Serve them with ice cream, jam, various sauces, berries and fruits. Bon appetit!
