Dough balls
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to fry dough balls in oil? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Take natural, high-quality cottage cheese. Read about how to choose cottage cheese for the dough in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Sift the flour in advance. This way it will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished products will turn out more tender. In a large bowl, combine the eggs with the required amount of sugar. You can adjust the sweetness to your taste.
STEP 2
Whisk the mixture a little to incorporate the sugar into the eggs.
STEP 3
Then add cottage cheese, rubbed through a sieve, to the egg mixture. Stir it into the egg mixture too.
STEP 4
Add sifted flour. Add soda and vanilla.
STEP 5
Mix everything until smooth. The dough should be thick and dense. Depending on the type of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 6
Pour a large amount of vegetable oil into a deep frying pan and heat it. Read about how to choose the perfect frying pan, as well as how to choose the right vegetable oil, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Grease your hands with vegetable oil and take a little dough, roll it into a ball and drop it into hot oil. When frying, they will increase in volume a little more. So leave some space.
STEP 7
Fry the balls until golden brown over medium heat. Turn them over if necessary. Although during cooking, if the balls float freely in hot oil, they will turn over on their own.
STEP 8
Remove the finished balls with a slotted spoon onto a plate lined with napkins. This is necessary so that excess oil drains from them. Then transfer to another plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and help yourself. Bon appetit!
