Dessert with tangerines without baking
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Prepare food. I used soft cottage cheese; if you take farmer’s cottage cheese, it will also work, just beat it in a blender a little longer.
STEP 2
Wash and peel the tangerines, disassemble into slices. The dessert will turn out more tender if the slices are cleared of all membranes. Sometimes you get tangerines with a very thin film, you can leave it in that way; if it’s coarser and thicker, it’s still better to remove it. The slices can be left whole or cut, so they will be more evenly distributed in the dessert. This is the most time-consuming work in the recipe, which can be done in advance, cover the peeled tangerines and put them in the refrigerator.
STEP 3
Add 350 ml of cold boiled water to 30 grams of instant gelatin and leave to swell.
STEP 4
Beat the cottage cheese with a blender.
STEP 5
Add condensed milk and beat everything until smooth.
STEP 6
Heat the swollen gelatin, but do not let it boil, stir until it is all dispersed, and cool slightly. Pour in a thin stream, constantly stirring the curd mass with a spatula. If you use other gelatin, it is better to strain it through a sieve.
STEP 7
Add tangerine slices along with the released juice to the curd component, mix and pour into the mold. I took a silicone cake pan, or maybe a metal one. For easy removal of the dessert, it is better to line any form with cling film. Or pour the dessert into individual bowls, then you don’t have to turn it over to remove it, it’s your choice.
STEP 8
Cover the dessert in the form and put it in the refrigerator until completely set, for 2 - 4 hours. Mine froze after 2 hours, it all depends on the volume and type of shape, you can leave it overnight.
STEP 9
Turn the frozen dessert onto a plate, carefully separate the mold and remove the film. Decorate the top as you wish, I just grated the chocolate. For decoration, you can use tangerine, cut into slices or use peeled ones. The dessert tastes moderately sweet, with a creamy curd flavor and a juicy hint of tangerine. When serving, you can offer tangerine topping, at your discretion.
