STEP 1
How to deep fry cheese balls at home? Very simple and fast. To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use any cheese, but it must melt well. Unbrined mozzarella for pizza or regular hard cheeses such as Gouda or Russian are suitable.
STEP 2
Grate the cheese on a fine grater and place in a bowl.
STEP 3
Add eggs and a clove of garlic passed through a press to the cheese. Salt everything to taste and mix.
STEP 4
Add flour and mix thoroughly. The mass should be thick and not spread. Add a little more flour if necessary.
STEP 5
With slightly damp hands, form the cheese mixture into even round balls the size of a walnut. Now roll the cheese balls thoroughly on all sides in breadcrumbs. To make them beautiful, and for the breading to adhere tightly to the cheese, take crackers that are coarser, richly yellow and with spices. If you have regular whitish crackers, add paprika, turmeric, salt and pepper to taste for color.
STEP 6
Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to crackle. To check how hot the oil is, you can dip a wooden skewer into it. Small bubbles will appear around it. There should be enough oil to completely cover the balls. Fry the cheese balls in boiling oil until golden brown. The finished balls will float to the surface.
STEP 7
Place the finished breaded cheese balls on paper napkins to remove excess fat.
STEP 8
Garnish the hot appetizer with fresh herbs and serve immediately while the cheese is stretching. You can serve various sauces with the appetizer. Bon appetit!
