Cucumbers with onions and butter

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make cucumbers with onions and butter for the winter? Prepare the ingredients. Rinse the cucumbers thoroughly under running water. Cut off the ends on both sides. Place the cucumbers in a deep container and leave for 3 hours; thanks to soaking, the cucumbers in the salad will be especially crispy and tasty. Drain the water, rinse the cucumbers again, place in a colander and let the water drain.
STEP 2

Cut the cucumbers into circles or halves of circles about 0.5 centimeters thick. Now place the cucumbers in a deep bowl and weigh them, not forgetting to first weigh the bowl itself separately so as not to make a mistake in the weight of the vegetables.
STEP 3

Peel the onions and cut them into halves of rings. Place the onions in a container with cucumbers.
STEP 4

If the last autumn cucumbers are suitable for this salad, then the dill needs to be young and fresh. But often, summer residents and gardeners grow a second crop of young dill in the fall. Wash the dill, dry on a paper towel and finely chop with a knife. Also add to bowl with vegetables.
STEP 5

Place sugar, salt and ground black pepper in a bowl. Be sure to use stone salt, coarsely ground, to avoid spoilage of the preparations. Pour in the vegetable oil and vinegar, carefully mix the contents of the bowl so that all the ingredients are saturated with the dressing. Leave the cucumbers to marinate for 3 hours at room temperature.
STEP 6

Meanwhile, prepare the jars. Rinse them with water and soda, place them on a rack in the oven with the neck down and turn the oven on at 150 degrees. Jars with a volume of 0.5 liters need to be sterilized for 15 minutes. Wash the lids, boil and dry. The jars can be sterilized in another usual way. Stir the finished salad again. Place into prepared jars, pour the marinade remaining in the bowl into the jars so that it covers the contents of the jars.
STEP 7

Cover the jars with cucumbers with lids, place them in a saucepan with a towel on the bottom, fill with water so that it reaches the shoulders of the jars. Turn on the heat and sterilize for about 15 minutes from the moment of boiling. Roll up the jars with lids, let the workpiece cool at room temperature. There is no need to wrap them in anything. Put the cooled jars in the pantry. Bon appetit!
