Cucumbers with mustard powder

STEP 1
How to make cucumbers with mustard powder for the winter? To prepare, select small, firm, fresh fruits. Wash them thoroughly in running water to remove all dirt. Then fill them with clean water and let them stand for 2-3 hours. After this, cut off the tails of all the cucumbers at the edges.
STEP 2
Place clean, trimmed cucumbers in another bowl.
STEP 3
Cut each cucumber into 4-6 pieces, but do not cut all the way through. It should look like tails. The photo shows closer how it should be.
STEP 4
Add salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar, vegetable oil, garlic cloves and mustard powder to the cucumbers. Mix everything very well so that all the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout all the cucumbers. Then cover with a lid and put under pressure for 8 hours. I add 2 tbsp. mustard powder, because I like it better, but the recipe calls for 1 spoon.
STEP 5
During this time, the cucumbers will release a lot of juice. Take clean jars. Place some garlic on the bottom and arrange the cucumbers tightly together. Fill all the jars with the juice obtained during the marinating process. Cover all jars with metal lids.
STEP 6
Place the jars in a large, spacious saucepan and pour water so that it does not reach the top of the jars. Place the pan on the fire to warm up. Bring the water to a boil and sterilize the jars for 15 minutes.
STEP 7
Then remove the jars from the water and roll up the lids. Wrap the closed jars in a blanket and let them cool. Put the cooled jars in a cool place until your winter appetite! These cucumbers will perfectly complement potato dishes! Help yourself!
