  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cucumbers with aspirin for the winter in a jar? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly in running water, cut off the ends on both sides and place them in ice water for at least two hours. While you are working with spices and jars, put the cucumbers directly in a bowl of water in the refrigerator. Read about winter preparations in the article at the end of this recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sterilize the jars in any convenient way. Can be done over steam, in the oven or in the microwave. I find it convenient to sterilize twist jars in the microwave. First, wash the jars in running water and soda. Then pour 1.5-2 cm of water into them, place the jars in the microwave, set the maximum power and turn on the oven for 3-5 minutes. Next, drain the water and place the jars upside down on a clean towel to dry.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place dill umbrellas at the bottom of sterile jars. The proportions here are up to taste. Peel the garlic and cut the cloves in half. Chopped garlic imparts its flavor to cucumbers better than whole cloves. Add chopped parsley root and allspice.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Fill the jars with cucumbers.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cover the top of the cucumbers with washed oak leaves and dill umbrellas.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour boiling water into the jars. You need to pour not on the glass, but in the middle. Cover the jar with a lid and leave for twenty minutes to warm up the cucumbers.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

After this time, pour the water from the jar into a saucepan or saucepan. Add salt and bring to a boil. Boil for three minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Grind the aspirin in a mortar to a powder. Pour boiling water over the lid.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Pour the aspirin into a jar and fill it up to the neck with boiling brine. Do the same as the first time: pour the brine onto the cucumbers, not onto the glass. Close the jar with a lid previously sterilized with boiling water. Turn over and wrap. Once cooled, store the aspirin pickles in a cool, dark place.

Thanks for the recipe, I'll try it. And I close it this way - cucumbers in jars without sterilization.

Interesting recipe. I use vinegar, but I wanted to try closing it without it. I made cucumbers with aspirin for the winter in a jar according to this recipe. I chose greenhouse cucumbers, good, elastic. I cut off the ends. I put spices in a jar, instead of parsley roots I put stems, umbrellas and herbs, as well as dill umbrellas. Only there were no oak leaves, I replaced them with currant, raspberry and cherry leaves. I packed the cucumbers tightly, poured boiling water over them and waited 20 minutes, as the author writes. Add salt to the marinade and boil. I put aspirin in a jar, poured in the marinade and rolled it up. Quite a simple and quick recipe. It is very interesting to taste these cucumbers. They should be tasty and crispy. And without a drop of vinegar, which is important. This is a new product for me) Thanks to the author for the recipe!

A very convenient option, but it’s somehow scary to roll it up the first time... And what does aspirin do if citric acid is already present? I think that it is not necessary to shake the jar, since it will still remain wrapped and upside down until it cools. I’ll still try to make a one and a half liter jar, thanks for the recipe!
