STEP 1

How to make a cucumber snack for the winter? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Cucumbers can be taken in any size, shape and maturity. Of course, spoiled and rotten cucumbers will not work. Wash the jars with baking soda and place them upside down in a cold oven while still wet. Preheat the oven to 150°C and sterilize 0.5 liter jars for 10 minutes, 1 liter jars for 15 minutes. Boil the lids. You can also sterilize jars in the microwave or steam.
STEP 2

Wash the cucumbers well under running water and soak them in cold water for a couple of hours, then they will be especially crunchy and tasty in the salad. After the specified time, drain the water, rinse the cucumbers again and cut off the ends on both sides. Dry the cucumbers and cut into halves.
STEP 3

Peel the onions, rinse, dry and cut into halves of rings.
STEP 4

Peel a few cloves of garlic and cut into thin slices.
STEP 5

Place all vegetables in a deep saucepan or other container and stir. Add a few black peppercorns.
STEP 6

How to make a marinade for pickling cucumbers? In a bowl, combine sugar, salt, vegetable oil and add a tablespoon of vinegar. Mix everything thoroughly so that the sugar and salt dissolve. Pour the resulting marinade over the vegetables in the pan. Stir them, cover the pan with a lid and leave for 5-6 hours to infuse. You can leave the cucumber snack overnight. During this time, the cucumbers will release juice and marinate well.
STEP 7

Stir the salad again and place it in clean, sterilized jars. Cover the jars with lids, place them in a pan of water, on the bottom of which you have previously laid a cotton cloth. And sterilize the jars with the snack for 15 minutes (0.5 l). After time, remove the jars, roll them up and let them cool upside down, covered with a warm blanket.
