I’ve seen a recipe for crab cakes on the Internet for a long time, but I didn’t dare to cook them. And then I found such a recipe on the site and decided to do it, especially since I trust Maria’s recipes) I immediately made up my mind for a large portion. I bought a package weighing 500g, but not crab sticks, but crab meat. I think there is no difference, they are just cut differently. I don’t like to grate, so I put all the meat in a blender and grind it. The result was small “grains”. For this portion I needed three C1 eggs and seven tablespoons of breadcrumbs. There was enough mayonnaise for six heaped spoons. I didn’t add any additional salt or spices. In my opinion, there is enough salt and spices in mayonnaise and crab meat. The mixture was crumbly at first, but with wet hands it easily formed the cutlets. I no longer have any crackers left, so I breaded them in flour. Breadcrumbs would make a crispier version. I fried it in a non-stick frying pan, the cutlets did not fall apart or stick, they fried without any problems. After each batch, I wiped the pan with a flour napkin. The cutlets turned out very tasty, elastic, rosy as the sun. It’s good that I didn’t add salt, the cutlets are moderately salty, it also depends on the saltiness of the products themselves, so you have to try it.
