Cookies made from condensed milk and sour cream
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make cookies from condensed milk and sour cream? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take premium flour and sour cream with a fat content of at least 15%. Choose natural condensed milk without unnecessary additives that will spoil the taste. Personally, I often use margarine to make cookies. With creamy good margarine it turns out more crumbly, and it is also cheaper.
STEP 2
Melt the margarine. This can be done in the microwave on the appropriate setting, over low heat in a saucepan or in a water bath. To melt margarine in a water bath, take two containers of different diameters. Pour water into the larger one, place the smaller one on top so that its bottom sinks halfway into the water. Place pieces of margarine into it. When the water boils, it will begin to melt. When completely melted, remove from heat. Cool completely.
STEP 3
Take a deep bowl in which it will be convenient to mix dry and liquid ingredients. Wash the egg with soap, dry it with a towel or napkin and break it into a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar, salt and beat with a fork or whisk. There is no need to whip until foam appears. Adding salt improves the taste of the cookies and makes beating the eggs easier. The remaining spoon of sugar will be useful to us when we form the cookies.
STEP 4
Add sour cream, soda dissolved in vinegar and mix well until smooth. Read about the nuances and subtleties of using soda in baking in the article, link at the end of this recipe.
STEP 5
Pour in margarine and mix thoroughly. The margarine must cool down, otherwise the egg will be baked and the dough will be spoiled.
STEP 6
Sift the flour to remove small debris and oxygenate the dough. Add flour in small portions, as you may need less or more. Read more about the properties of flour in the article at the end of the recipe. When it becomes difficult to knead with a spoon, start doing it with your hands. The dough should become soft, very tender, but not stick to your hands.
STEP 7
Turn on the oven to preheat at 180 degrees. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts.
STEP 8
Roll each part into a round layer 3-4 mm thick and cut into 8 parts. Place about 1/3 teaspoon of boiled condensed milk on the wide edge of each dough sector. Roll the dough into a bagel shape and dip the top in sugar, while pressing the top of the cookie slightly so that the condensed milk “seals” and does not leak out during baking.
STEP 9
Place the finished livers on a large baking sheet covered with parchment. Bake on the middle shelf in the top-bottom mode for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees. Your time and temperature may vary. Read more about the features of ovens in the article, link below the steps. Check the readiness of the cookies by their appearance; they should brown a little. Serve the cooled cookies with sour cream and boiled condensed milk at the table with milk or tea. Bon appetit!
