STEP 1

How to make dried fruit compote without sugar? For this you will need, directly, the dried fruits themselves and water. You can choose any dried fruits to suit your taste. You can cook compote from one thing or from an assortment. I have a wide variety of dried fruits - prunes, raisins, dried apricots, apples... They are all quite sweet, which will give the taste of the finished compote a natural sweetness. Sort the dried fruits and remove twigs and leaves, if any.
STEP 2

Oddly enough, high-quality dried fruits always have an unsightly appearance - they are very wrinkled with various spots. And there is enough dirt on them. This is precisely what suggests that the fruits were simply dried. All dried fruits must be poured with hot water and allowed to stand for 5-7 minutes. This will help clean them of dirt. Then rinse the dried fruits several more times in running water. Drain off excess water by draining the dried fruits in a colander.
STEP 3

Place the washed product in a saucepan of a suitable size, add water and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and cook the compote for 30 minutes.
STEP 4

Don’t rush to drink the compote right away. Let it brew. It would be ideal to let the compote cool in this form directly in the pan. This will make the taste of the finished compote more rich.
STEP 5

Strain the finished, cooled compote and pour into a decanter. I usually drain the compote in a colander and remove all the fruit. And the second time I filter through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to completely remove all the pulp.
STEP 6

Dried fruit compote is ready! It has enough sweetness present. If desired, you can add a spoonful of honey to the mug. This compote is very tasty both hot and cold. Enjoy your treat!
