How to make a classic Waldorf salad with celery, apple and chicken? Start preparing the salad with a dressing. You can use any mayonnaise to your taste, I used olive mayonnaise, but you can also use homemade mayonnaise. In addition to the above ingredients, you can add liquid honey and lemon zest to the dressing, but this will be a departure from the classic recipe.

Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice and spices in a bowl. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Now prepare the main ingredients for the salad. You can replace the Romaine lettuce with a ready-made salad mix.
STEP 4

First boil the chicken fillet until tender in boiling water with the addition of salt, allspice, bay leaves and celery stalk. Remove the finished fillet from the broth, dry and cut into small slices.
STEP 5

If the grapes are large, cut them in half. It is advisable to take seedless grapes, red or green, to taste. If the grapes have seeds, remove them.

Wash the lettuce leaves, dry and cut into large pieces.

Wash the celery stalks and cut into small slices.

I advise you to rinse the walnuts thoroughly (chemicals are applied to them so that they can be stored longer), and then bake them in a dry frying pan.

Wash the apple, peel the core and cut into small slices. It is better to use juicy apples, varieties such as Pink Lady, Granny Smith, etc. are suitable. It is better to cut the apples very last so that they do not have time to darken. To make the salad not only tasty, but also bright and beautiful, choose red apples.
STEP 10

In a bowl, combine chicken, apples, romaine lettuce, celery, grapes and walnuts.
STEP 11
