Classic hot smoked cod salad with potatoes

STEP 1

Boil chicken eggs hard, after washing their shells with soap. Cook for about 20 minutes over medium heat from the moment the water boils. Drain the water in which the eggs were boiled and fill them with ice to make it easier to peel them later. We clean the chicken eggs and cut them into small cubes with a knife.
STEP 2

Wash the potatoes and boil them in their skins. Let it cool, peel it and cut it into small cubes.
STEP 3

Peel the onions and finely chop them with a knife. If it seems too bitter, you can marinate it in a mixture of vinegar and sugar, or simply keep it in boiling water for a few minutes.
STEP 4

The main thing is to use freshly prepared hot smoked cod for the salad; the shelf life of this product is short due to the fact that little salt is added with this smoking method. We clean the fish from bones and skin, divide the flesh into small pieces.
STEP 5

Wash the fresh cucumber and cut into small cubes. If it seems that the skin of the cucumber is quite hard, then it is better to remove it so as not to spoil the taste of the salad, it will be even more tender.
STEP 6

If desired, you can supplement the salad with fresh dill and parsley; it will give the salad more flavor and make it aromatic. Place all prepared ingredients in a deep bowl. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Season with mayonnaise and mix.
STEP 7

Let the salad soak in the refrigerator for about an hour and serve in a large salad bowl or in portioned salad bowls. Bon appetit!
