STEP 1
How to make chvishtari in Georgian? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use not only corn flour, but also regular wheat flour or a mixture of two types of flour in equal proportions. But keep in mind that the amount of milk and calorie content of the dish will change.
STEP 2
Cut Suluguni into oblong bars. You can replace Suluguni with mozzarella or other cheese that melts well. For information on different types of cheeses, see the article at the end of this recipe under the steps.
STEP 3
Sift cornmeal into a bowl. Add warm milk, soft butter, sugar and salt and stir. Knead the dough thoroughly until smooth. Please note that corn flour is not wheat flour! Therefore, it does not absorb moisture as quickly.
STEP 4

STEP 5
Divide the dough into 6-8 equal parts.
STEP 6
Flatten each part into a flat cake. Place a block of cheese in the center of the flatbread.
STEP 7
Pinch the edges so that the cheese is inside. Shape the chvishtari into boat shapes.
STEP 8

STEP 9
Fry the flatbreads on both sides until golden brown. Serve the hot Georgian chvishtari with cheese immediately. Bon appetit!
