Chocolate with pistachios and pomegranate seeds

An unexpected combination of sweet, salty and tart flavors in chocolate. How often do we dream of inventing our own chocolate with an unusual filling. This can be easily done by adding nuts or dried fruits to liquid chocolate. I had a chance to try chocolate with pepper, mushrooms, and salt. I decided not to shock the guests and tried to treat them to a combination of chocolate with salted pistachios and pomegranate seeds. Try it too!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Peel the pistachios. Grind with a rolling pin.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Extract pomegranate seeds using any available method. If thin films remain on the grains, separating the pomegranate grains inside, then you can get rid of them like this: pour cold water over the grains. The films will float. Drain the water and dry the beans with a paper towel, being careful not to bruise or crush them.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Melt your favorite chocolate in a water bath.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Line the pan with wax paper. Slowly pour the melted chocolate into it, allowing it to spread evenly throughout the pan.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Scatter pistachios, pomegranate seeds and coarse salt (optional) evenly over the surface of the still unset chocolate. Place the mold in the refrigerator. Give it a chance to harden. It took me about an hour.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Break the cooled chocolate into large pieces and enjoy!

Sofja.k, what interesting chocolate! Unusual, I would even say! The combination of products is simply explosive! Pomegranates, nuts and...salt! Does the salt have to be sea salt? Should I pour it all over the hot chocolate or wait until it cools down a little? Otherwise, there are still pomegranate seeds there... Thank you very much for the recipe!
