    We prepare the products. We wash tangerines, ginger root, garlic (and, unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the garlic :( ). Wash the chicken thighs (pullets or other parts of the chicken) thoroughly.

    Using a sharp knife, separate the bone from the meat and remove the tendons. For a festive feast, it is much more convenient to use boneless meat. You can even remove the skin. (By the way, bones can be used when cooking broth).

    Place all the pieces of boneless meat - chicken fillet - into a bowl or other container, add salt and leave for 30 minutes.

    Meanwhile, peel the tangerines and divide them into slices.

    Peel the garlic cloves and ginger root, chop very finely (the ginger can be grated on a fine grater).

    And prepare the marinade: combine ginger with chopped garlic and soy sauce, add cognac, paprika and pepper to taste.

    Then fry the chicken fillet in a frying pan in olive oil on both sides until golden brown.

    Pour the resulting marinade over the toasted drumsticks and let them stand for 10 minutes. Then place the chicken fillet along with the tangerines in a baking dish and pour in the remaining marinade that has not been absorbed. Set for 15 - 20 minutes. bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.

I had four chicken drumsticks left, and I decided to bake them according to this recipe. I had all the necessary ingredients except soy sauce. I didn't replace it with anything. I prepared this dish at the dacha; here I don’t have a regular oven, so I had to make do with a small electric stove. There is no temperature indication on it, so I just set it to maximum and baked the drumsticks until done. Chicken with tangerines in the oven is very easy to prepare, but at the same time the taste is not inferior to more refined and complex dishes. Can you clarify about step 8? Pour the marinade over the drumsticks in which container for 10 minutes? What we then put into the form is understandable. And before that? I would put all the fried drumsticks back into the frying pan, pour over the marinade, close the lid and remove from the heat so that they just warm up and the ginger and garlic begin to release their aromas. It was very tasty, I didn’t even dare to take a photo on the plate (while I was running for the camera , the chicken would “evaporate.”) So take the photo straight from the oven.
