Chicken salad with apple and walnut

STEP 1
How to make a salad with chicken, apple and walnut? Prepare your food. It is better to use chilled chicken breast, it will turn out juicier and tastier. Take sweet and sour apple varieties. Yogurt is natural, unsweetened. Instead of yogurt, you can use low-fat sour cream.
STEP 2
Pre-boil the chicken meat. How to cook chicken breast? Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and place the fillet in it. Add salt. Cook the chicken for 30 minutes at a low simmer over low heat. Then turn off the heat and leave the fillet until it cools completely - this way you will achieve maximum juiciness. Dry the cooled fillet and cut into cubes.
STEP 3
Also cut the apple into cubes - the salad will look beautiful and neat if you cut all the ingredients into pieces of the same size and shape. If the skin of the apple is very rough, cut it off.
STEP 4
Cut the cheese into cubes the same size as the apple. I took Adyghe cheese, it was a little bland. Next time I want to add cheese or feta to make the taste sharper.
STEP 5
Cut the lettuce leaves into squares. I used iceberg in the salad because it is juicier and firmer than regular leaf lettuce. Chinese or romaine cabbage will also work.
STEP 6
Finely chop the walnuts with a knife. I left a few halves for decoration. To make the nuts more aromatic and crunchy, you can pre-dry them in a dry frying pan.
STEP 7
Place all ingredients in a bowl. Add yogurt, salt and, if desired, pepper the salad.
STEP 8
Stir the salad.
STEP 9
I decided to lay it out using a cooking ring. But this is not at all necessary; you can simply serve it in a salad bowl. Bon appetit!
