It just so happens that no matter how tasty ordinary everyday dishes are, you get used to the taste and want variety. I cooked chicken dapandji for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by such a multifaceted and unusual taste! I had a whole chicken carcass, which I cut into portions. Then poured the sauce, added starch and mixed thoroughly. While the chicken was marinating, I prepared the celery stalks and cut the bell peppers (I used frozen) into cubes. The ginger was fresh, I cut off a small piece (about 5 g) and cut it into small cubes. Added sugar to the heated vegetable oil, waited until it melted and added the chicken. Quite quickly a golden brown crust formed and turned it over to the other side. Then added celery, ginger and covered with a lid. I didn’t add chili pepper, because... We have small children and don’t add hot seasonings to common dishes. If anyone wants, you can then add it to the finished dish. After 15 minutes, add bell pepper, dry garlic and salt. I fried it for about 10 minutes, then covered it with a lid and, reducing the heat to low, simmered for 15 minutes. While the chicken was cooking, a very appetizing aroma wafted throughout the house. The finished chicken turned out to be very juicy and soft, celery in combination with bell pepper and ginger gave a very pleasant and harmonious taste and aroma! I recommend everyone to cook it! Thank you to the author for such a wonderful recipe!

I would like to separately note that thanks to frying in oil with caramelized sugar, a golden brown crust was formed, which sealed the chicken pieces and as a result the dish turned out to be very juicy.
