Chicken breast in the oven with potatoes and cheese

STEP 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients. You will need 2-4 potato tubers, chicken fillet, bell pepper and medium-sized onions.
STEP 2

Rinse the chicken fillet well under running cool water. Dry with paper towels. Remove films. Cut into slices and then into medium-sized pieces, not too small.
STEP 3

Transfer the chopped chicken to a bowl. Pour in soy sauce. Do not add salt as the sauce is already salty enough on its own. Leave the meat to marinate at room temperature (about 15-20 minutes). At this time, start preparing the potatoes.
STEP 4

Wash the potatoes. Peel it and cut into slices.
STEP 5

You can boil the potatoes until half cooked (about 5 minutes after boiling). The cooking time can be varied (reduced or increased), it all depends on the type of potatoes you use. Drain the water and cool the potatoes. Now salt and pepper it to taste.
STEP 6

Peel the onions. Rinse it and the knife in cold water so that when cutting the onion juice does not irritate the mucous membranes of the eyes. Cut into half rings. Wash the bell peppers and dry. Cut and remove the center with seeds. Also cut it into half rings.
STEP 7

In any heat-resistant form (I used thick glass), combine half-cooked potatoes, onions and peppers.
STEP 8

Mix all ingredients. If desired, add your favorite spices (for example, Italian herbs).
STEP 9

Add marinated chicken breast to the vegetables. In advance (10-15 minutes before cooking), preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cover the pan with foil.
STEP 10

Bake the dish for about 20 minutes. Then take out the dish, remove the foil, and stir the contents.
STEP 11

Sprinkle grated hard cheese on top. Take any tasty cheese so that it melts well.
STEP 12

Return the pan to the oven and bake until the cheese crust is golden brown, about 10-15 minutes longer. Serve immediately while it's hot. Sprinkle with chopped herbs (parsley, dill).
