Cabbage solyanka with pork meat
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make solyanka from cabbage with pork meat? Prepare all the necessary products. Take fresh, seasonal vegetables, preferably from a new harvest, especially cabbage. Be sure to take pickled cucumbers - pickled cucumbers will not work here. You can take any part of pork: neck, ham, and brisket. If you wish, you can take calf meat, beef, and even poultry meat. Or you can easily take sausages or sausage - just for your imagination!
STEP 2
Peel the onion and cut into cubes. To clean the onion better and not sting your eyes, pre-soak it in cold water for 20-30 minutes.
STEP 3
Wash the carrots with a brush in running water, peel them. It is best to use a vegetable peeler for this purpose - it cuts the skin very thinly. Grate the carrots on a medium grater. If desired, the cutting method can be changed.
STEP 4
Wash the pork well in running water, dry it, cut into medium-sized pieces.
STEP 5
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. You can take sunflower or olive, to your taste. But since we will be frying in oil, use refined types of oil so that it does not burn in the pan. Add the onion, fry over low heat for about 5 minutes.
STEP 6
Add carrots, stir and fry for another 5 minutes.
STEP 7
Then place the meat in the pan, stir and continue frying. Frying time is about 10 minutes.
STEP 8
Wash the cucumbers, dry them, cut off the butts and cut into cubes. Add cucumbers to the pan. Choose the cutting method to suit your taste.
STEP 9
Then add tomato paste to the pan and stir. If suddenly there is no tomato paste available, you can replace it with tomato juice or ketchup. Simmer everything together for 5-7 minutes.
STEP 10
Wash the cabbage well, remove 2-3 top leaves and chop.
STEP 11
Add cabbage to the pan. Stirring vigorously, fry everything together for another 7-10 minutes.
STEP 12
Peel the garlic, chop and add to the pan. I put a clove of garlic through a press, but you can also grate it or chop it with a knife.
STEP 13
Mix all the ingredients, add salt, and let sit for 10-15 minutes so that the cabbage becomes softer. Our classic solyanka at home is ready!
STEP 14
Place the finished dish on plates and serve hot. Bon appetit!
