Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 50 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a classic Bride salad? Prepare the ingredients. First boil the chicken fillet in lightly salted water until tender, 20 minutes of cooking over medium heat is enough (use the resulting broth to prepare first courses). Let the chicken meat cool and cut into small cubes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Boil the potatoes in their skins. To do this, wash it, fill it with cold water and place it on the stove over medium heat. After boiling, cook the potatoes for 25 minutes. Check readiness with a knife - the blade will easily pierce the tuber. Cool and then peel the potatoes. Grate it on a coarse grater. Boil hard-boiled chicken eggs, cool and peel. Separate the whites from the yolks.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

    Separately, grate the whites.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Separately - yolks.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Peel the onions and finely chop with a knife. To remove excess bitterness from the onion, pour boiling water over it and leave for 10 minutes, then drain the water.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Grate the hard cheese on a medium grater. Choose a natural and, above all, tasty cheese with a mild taste so that the salad remains tender.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Assemble the salad. As a rule, the “Bride” salad is designed as a layered salad; you can do this using a culinary ring or lay out the ingredients in layers in a slide. Place boiled potatoes in the first layer. Lubricate it with a thin layer of mayonnaise.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Then comes chopped boiled chicken fillet and mayonnaise again. Sprinkle chopped onions on top of this layer.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Next, add the grated egg yolks. Cover them with a thin layer of mayonnaise.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

The next layer is hard cheese, grease it with mayonnaise.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

And finish assembling the salad with grated egg whites, generously sprinkle them on top of the salad so that it turns out snow-white and the other ingredients do not show through. Let the salad soak in the refrigerator, then serve. Bon appetit!

I saw a recipe for a classic bride’s salad on the website. I had all the ingredients on hand, so I quickly put together this delicious salad. I took the breast from a baked chicken and cut it into small pieces. My cheese was already grated. By the way, it seems to me that it can be completely replaced with melted one. Pour cold water over the onion and add a little sugar and vinegar. This gave it a pleasant taste while maintaining its juiciness and crunch. I compacted the potato layer in a serving ring, and laid out all subsequent layers, keeping it airy. I put the mayonnaise into a cooking bag and squeezed it out in a thin stream so as not to disturb the layers. The bride's salad turned out tender, juicy and delicious! It’s also quite filling).
