STEP 1
Ingredients for preparing the Black Prince salad.
STEP 2
Fry the walnuts in a frying pan without oil until golden brown, so they become tastier and crispier. Let cool.
STEP 3
Boil the chicken legs with bay leaf, salt and black peppercorns in a saucepan until tender. Remove from the broth and cool. (You can replace the legs with chicken fillet, but the legs are fattier and the salad will be more tender.)

Cut the red onion into quarter rings.
STEP 5
Pour the prepared hot marinade over the onions. Insist, covered, until completely cooled. When the marinade has cooled, drain the water and squeeze the onion. You can keep it in the marinade for several hours, the taste will be more intense. The onion takes on a beautiful crimson hue.

Wash the prunes, soak them in water for several hours, squeeze them out, and cut them into strips. Set aside 2 to garnish the salad.
STEP 7
We keep the processed cheese in the freezer for about 20 minutes. This makes it easier to grate them. Rub through large holes.

Chop the cooled nuts.

Separate the chicken meat from the bones and skin and cut into cubes.

Let's start assembling the salad. The first layer is chicken. Sprinkle with salt to taste and ground black pepper (optional, if the meat needs it after cooking in the broth).

Since pickled onions are quite juicy, you don’t have to grease the chicken with mayonnaise, but cover the onion layer with it.

The next layer is prunes and mayonnaise.
STEP 13
Then coarsely grate the yolks of hard-boiled eggs. You can add salt (optional).

The next layer is coarsely grated whites.

Then lay out a layer of processed cheese. Carefully trim the future salad and cover with a thin layer of mayonnaise.
