STEP 1
I am sharing with you a recipe for a great dessert. In the following steps you will learn how to bake Belgian Almond Cake. For this dish we will need the products indicated in the ingredients and shown in the photo.
STEP 2
Pour boiling water over the almonds and leave for 5-10 minutes.
STEP 3
Drain the water and remove the husks.
STEP 4
Place the almonds on a baking sheet and dry them in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
STEP 5
Finely chop the cooled almonds with a knife or grind them using a blender.
STEP 6
Separate the yolks from the whites.
STEP 7
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form - this is important.
STEP 8
Grind the butter and sugar into a light, fluffy cream. While whisking, add the yolks one at a time, alternating with chopped almonds. Gently fold the whipped whites into the creamy mixture alternately with the sifted flour. Carefully place the dough into a greased small-diameter round baking pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. When serving, the almond cake can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
