    How to make beet salad with garlic and walnuts? Prepare your food. Try to choose sweet varieties of beets; they are usually dark in color. Root vegetables should be firm, without dents or signs of spoilage. You can take walnuts already shelled or peel them yourself.

    Boil the beets. How to cook beets? You can simply boil it in a saucepan in water. To do this, wash the root vegetables well with a brush, fill them with cold water and place on medium heat. After boiling, reduce the heat and cook the beets for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the fruit. You can also bake beets in foil in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes. Or in the microwave at maximum power for 6-8 minutes.

    Determine the readiness of the beets with a sharp knife - it should easily pierce the fruit. Cool the finished beets completely, then peel them.

    Grate the beets on a medium grater. I prefer this method, but in general you can cut it into small cubes, strips or grate it on a coarse grater. It's whatever you like.

    Place the grated beets in a salad bowl. Peel the garlic clove and pass through a press. You can also grate it on the finest grater or chop it with a knife. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Be careful - if you season your salad with mayonnaise, keep in mind that it also contains salt.

    Grind the walnuts in a mortar. Or chop it with a knife. I prefer to chop it very much so that there are no large pieces in the salad, but this is a matter of taste, you can leave large pieces. It is better to lightly dry the peeled nuts in a dry frying pan beforehand - they will become crispier and more aromatic.

    Add nuts to the salad bowl. Put mayonnaise in it. Instead of mayonnaise, you can use sour cream, a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream, or natural yogurt.

Fresh harvest of nuts, vigorous garlic and autumn beets. What to cook? Of course salad! I had the beets boiled in advance, this happens to me, I cook more beets, and then use them for salads, appetizers or something else. The nuts had just been collected, they were still soft inside, so after removing the shells and membranes, I fried them in a dry frying pan. This procedure gives a crispier texture and enhances the nutty flavor. And of course, the taste of nuts becomes much more pleasant. My garlic is “evil”, I used one clove for three medium beets. Instead of mayonnaise, I flavored it with thermostatic sour cream; it is not runny at all, it does not flow, and it reduces the calorie content. This is the salad I got from this recipe) Delicious, a little spicy, with a bright taste and aroma of walnuts. I served it for dinner with buckwheat with cutlets, it went very well.

I made beet salad with garlic and walnuts according to this recipe. Boil the beets until tender and cool. I peeled the walnuts and garlic. I grated peeled boiled beets on a grater with large holes. I crushed the nuts, but not very finely, so that there were medium pieces. I squeezed the garlic through a press. I combined everything and seasoned it with 67% mayonnaise. The salad turned out excellent. It is very tasty and healthy. I added more garlic, I love garlic) The beet salad is sweet and spicy at the same time. I really love this salad. It is delicious and appetizing. Served with mashed potatoes and cutlets. Incredibly delicious. The nuts in this salad are great to savor. Wonderful recipe! Thanks to the author!

I agree with previous commentators, beet salad with garlic and walnuts, although very simple, turns out to be really very tasty. Walnuts add a delicious color to a simple dish like beets, and when combined with garlic, it's absolutely the bomb. I ate this salad with boiled potatoes, I didn’t even need meat.
