Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to fry beef and potatoes in a cauldron over a fire? Prepare all the products indicated in the recipe. If possible, use young potatoes. The amount of vegetables can be adjusted to your taste.
STEP 2
Peel the carrots, onions and garlic. Cut the bell peppers into two parts and remove the centers. Rinse the vegetables. Cut the onion into large pieces, cut the garlic cloves lengthwise into two to four parts.
STEP 3
Peel the potatoes, wash and cover with cold, clean water.
STEP 4
Cut carrots and onions into medium-sized pieces.
STEP 5
Place the cauldron and light the fire. Pour in vegetable oil and add a piece of butter. Using a slotted spoon, pour heated oil over the edges of the cauldron.
STEP 6
Send the onions and garlic to fry. Cook, stirring, until browned. Remove the vegetables using a slotted spoon into a separate deep bowl.
STEP 7
Place the chopped peppers and carrots in a cauldron. Fry, stirring constantly, until soft. Catch the vegetables with a slotted spoon and place in a bowl with the onions and garlic.
STEP 8
Place the new potatoes in the cauldron. Over medium heat, stirring, fry until done. If necessary, add a little vegetable oil. Place the potatoes in a bowl with the fried vegetables.
STEP 9
Cut the beef into small pieces and place in boiling oil in a cauldron.
STEP 10
When the pieces are covered with an appetizing golden crust, add coarsely chopped tomatoes to the cauldron.
STEP 11
Stir everything, turn the heat under the cauldron to minimum and simmer the meat under the lid until cooked. It took me about an hour and a half. After a while, open the lid and check if the meat is burning. If necessary, add a little water.
STEP 12
Place potatoes and fried carrots with bell peppers into the cauldron.
STEP 13
Salt everything to taste, season with your favorite spices and, stirring, keep on the fire for about another five to ten minutes.
STEP 14
Add onion and garlic.
STEP 15
Stir and simmer over low heat for about three more minutes. Sprinkle everything with chopped herbs and pepper with ground pepper.
