  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make beef liver cake for a holiday? Prepare the necessary ingredients. I used mayonnaise with a fat content of 67%. You can take half and half mayonnaise with sour cream. Pour boiling water over the liver and remove the film from it. Cut the cleaned liver into large pieces.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the liver in a blender bowl and grind it until mushy. I grinded for about 20 seconds at low speed.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the minced liver into a deep bowl, beat in the eggs, pour in the milk and two tablespoons of vegetable oil, add the sifted flour, add salt and pepper to taste.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Knead into a homogeneous dough. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then stir again. The dough turns out runny. This dough was enough for me to make 5 medium-sized pancakes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil (1 tbsp), lay out a fifth of the dough and level it evenly to make a moderately thin pancake. Fry the pancake on one side over medium heat for about 2 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Flip the liver pancake and cook for another 1 minute. It will fry faster on the second side. Remove the finished pancake from the pan and pour in the next batch. I didn't add any more oil. As I already wrote, I got 5 pancakes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

For the sauce, mix chopped garlic and mayonnaise. I used mayonnaise at the rate of one heaped tablespoon per pancake.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

You can start assembling the cake. Place the liver pancake on a flat plate or cutting board and brush it with mayonnaise sauce.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the next pancake on top.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

    And lubricate it too.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place all the pancakes in a stack and coat each one.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

You can decorate a beef liver cake with fresh cucumber, dill or green onions, and also use other decorative options, for example, a boiled egg, boiled carrots, tomatoes, etc. Give the finished cake time to soak. Bon appetit!

What a mouth-watering beauty! In my family, beef or pork liver is eaten only in the form of such cakes. You can also make this soufflé cake. Pork or beef liver will do.

I also make this dietary option from chicken and turkey liver. One thing - I mix the filling of sour cream, carrots, onions, garlic, pepper together and coat the liver cakes. You can also add grated hard cheese. I wish you success in cooking!

I want a gram of mayonnaise, not 5 tablespoons. Every time I wiped the spoon, it was inconvenient

Wonderful recipe! It’s not clear why the jury decided that it was half a Ukrainian word. Thanks for the recipe!
