Banana pie in a slow cooker

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make banana pie in a slow cooker? Prepare your food. If possible, take the ripest bananas, even those that have lain a little. The riper the bananas, the more flavorful the pie will be. Milk of any fat content is suitable, vegetable oil is refined, odorless. You can reduce the amount of sugar depending on your preferences. All foods must be warm; remove milk and eggs from the refrigerator in advance.
STEP 2

Take a large bowl to knead the dough. Sift flour into it. This will not only rid it of possible debris, but also enrich it with oxygen, which will make the baked goods more airy and fluffy. Add baking powder and salt to flour. Salt acts as a flavor enhancer in sweet baked goods, so don't be afraid to use it. Mix flour and additives well.
STEP 3

Peel the bananas and break them into another bowl. Mash them with a fork; it’s okay if small pieces remain - they will give the pie more juiciness and texture.
STEP 4

Pour vegetable oil into the mashed banana, beat in the eggs, and add sugar. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. Using a fork, stir the ingredients until smooth.
STEP 5

Pour milk into the egg-banana mixture and add vanilla.
STEP 6

Stir well again until the ingredients are completely combined.
STEP 7

Pour the resulting mixture into the flour. Stir with a fork until you get a homogeneous dough. It is not necessary to do this with a mixer - it is enough that all the flour is mixed into the liquid mass. Some texture to the dough will make the pie even more interesting. Remember that you may need a little less or more flour, depending on the consistency of the dough. Read more about the properties of flour in the article at the end of this recipe.
STEP 8

Grease the multicooker bowl with a small amount of vegetable oil. Pour the dough into the bowl and smooth it out with a spatula.
STEP 9

Place the bowl in the multicooker. Set it to a mode suitable for baking, for me it’s “Baking”, you may have something different. Set the time to 1 hour. Your time and mode may be different, see your device. (I always add another 20 minutes). Read more about multicookers at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 10

Bake the pie until the signal, then turn off the multicooker. Open the lid slightly and leave it like this for 20 minutes so that the cake cools gradually. Then you can take out the pie. It comes out of the bowl completely freely without breaking. Or you can wait for it to cool completely and only then take it out. We really like the warm pie - it has a wonderful crispy crust and delicate, aromatic flesh.
STEP 11

When serving, you can sprinkle the pie with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
