Avocado and cherry tomato salad

STEP 1

The photo shows the main ingredients that will be required to prepare the salad. Prepare all products. First, peel the onions and garlic. Rinse the avocado, cherry tomatoes, lemon, herbs, onion and garlic under running water.
STEP 2

Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Peel it.
STEP 3

Place the avocado in a salad bowl and mash it into pieces with a fork.
STEP 4

Try to make sure that the pulp does not form a puree and there are pieces of different sizes left (as in the photo).
STEP 5

Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into a salad bowl (you can use lime).
STEP 6

Add a pinch of salt, ground red pepper, add allspice and chili to taste. Adjust the amount of seasonings to your taste.
STEP 7

Cut the cherry tomatoes into random small pieces. Why is it better to take mini tomatoes? They are sweetish in taste, juicier and richer. You can use regular sweet tomato fruit. Cut the onion and garlic into small cubes. Instead of red onions, you can use shallots or white salad onions; these varieties are great for vegetable mixes, they are softer and not very bitter. Add cherry tomatoes, onion and garlic to avocado.
STEP 8

Chop the greens as finely as possible. You can use parsley, dill, basil or cilantro. In the recipe I used dill and parsley. Season the salad with olive oil and stir. Taste again, add salt and add a little lemon juice if required.
STEP 9

Salad ready!
