Angelica cake with kefir
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Products for making dough
STEP 2
Break the eggs into a deep bowl.
STEP 3
Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy.
STEP 4
Pour kefir into the egg mixture and beat again.
STEP 5
Gradually stir in the pre-sifted flour.
STEP 6
Add baking soda dissolved in vinegar and stir until air bubbles appear. This is what the finished dough looks like, which will then need to be gradually divided into 3 parts.
STEP 7
The first cake layer will be light, so immediately pour the first third of the dough into a pre-greased and floured pan and put it in the oven. Bake at 180 degrees until done (about 30 minutes).
STEP 8
Add 1 tbsp to the rest of the dough. l. sifted cocoa powder, mix thoroughly so that there are no lumps.
STEP 9
Pour the 2nd third of the batter into the prepared pan and place in the oven to bake. This will be the 2nd light brown cake.
STEP 10
Add another 2 tbsp to the remaining last third of the dough. l. cocoa, mix well.
STEP 11
Pour into prepared pan and bake until done. We will get the third, dark brown cake layer.
STEP 12
While the cakes are baking, you need to prepare the ingredients for the cream. They should be approximately the same temperature.
STEP 13
Beat softened butter and sugar in a bowl. Sugar does not dissolve completely. This is not noticeable in the finished cake.
STEP 14
Meanwhile, remove 3 cake layers of different colors from the molds. Cool them down.
STEP 15
Let's return to the cream. Add sour cream to the sugar-butter mixture and gently beat briefly so that the water does not separate.
STEP 16
Add cocoa to the cream and stir.
STEP 17
If your molds have a diameter of 30 cm, then leave 3 cake layers. If the diameter is smaller, then you can additionally cut each cake into 2 parts, as I did (since the cakes turn out to be quite high). Then the layers of cream will need to be spread thinner so that there is enough cream for the entire cake. Each layer of cream can be sprinkled with chopped walnuts. Build the cake from the darkest layer at the bottom to the lightest at the top.
STEP 18
So I decorated the top of the cake with sesame seeds and coconut flakes. You can decorate it as you wish.
STEP 19
I wish you good luck and bon appetit! I hope you love this cake! And don’t let the abundance of text and steps in the recipe description scare you. I just tried not to miss anything. In fact, this cake is not difficult to make.
