Airy buns are tender and soft as fluff in the oven

Lush, mouth-watering, incredibly tasty, melt in your mouth! The airy buns really turn out very soft, like fluff, even the next day if stored correctly. Their taste and aroma are simply indescribable. The appearance of the buns is also interesting due to their special formation.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake airy soft buns? Start cooking with the dough. How to make bun dough? Prepare your food. All ingredients should be at room temperature, so remove them from the refrigerator in advance. The butter should become soft.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a bowl, mix sifted wheat flour with dry yeast.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

In another container, combine warm milk, honey, eggs, sugar and salt.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Combine the flour and milk mixture and knead the dough. You can use a kitchen machine or make the dough by hand, but you need to knead it very well and for a long time.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add soft butter in two stages, thoroughly kneading the dough after each. The finished dough should not stick too much to your hands. But a slight stickiness will still remain - this is normal.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Grease a deep bowl with oil, place the dough, cover with a towel and leave warm for 1 hour. During this time, the dough will increase approximately 3 times.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Punch down the dough. To make it more convenient to work with it further, roll the dough into a sausage.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Divide the resulting sausage into 8 equal parts and roll into balls. To ensure the weight of the balls is the same, weigh the dough on a scale and divide this weight by 8.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Lightly roll each piece of dough into a circle or oval.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

    Roll into a roll.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Pinch the seam along the length of the roll.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Connect the ends of the roll and pinch it together. You will get this neat piece.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Place the buns in a pan greased with butter, a short distance from each other.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Cover the pan with cling film or a towel and leave to rise for 20 minutes. After the specified time, the buns will rise well and straighten out.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

All that remains is to decorate the buns. The butter for shaping should be cold, so keep it in the refrigerator until the shaping process.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Using scissors, make slits on top of the buns.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Place a small piece of butter into the slits.

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

Sprinkle sugar on top. Preheat the oven to 180°C. To ensure that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before cooking). Bake the buns in the oven for 20-25 minutes. The buns should be golden brown and beautiful.

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

Remove the finished buns from the oven, cool slightly and remove from the pan. They can be served either warm or cold. Bon appetit!

I didn’t expect to make these wonderful buns so easily and quickly. Their aroma woke up my family before they even came out of the oven. Soft and fluffy, like a cloud, moderately sweet. They can be eaten either with butter or with a sweet spread - honey, jam, preserves. With a cup of tea, these scones made our morning! Thanks for the recipe!

I prepared airy buns for tea, tender and soft as feathers in the oven. Replaced butter for the dough with margarine. For the filling I used butter, of course. Eggs used category C1. There was no need to adjust the amount of flour and milk. The dough turned out soft, almost non-sticky. I kneaded the dough with my hands for a total of about 10 minutes. I added soft margarine in three stages, thoroughly kneading the dough each time. In an hour, the dough increased very much, it seems to me, 4 times. I baked the buns at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. My buns turned out not as beautiful as the author’s, but very tasty! The name of the recipe fully corresponds to the result - the buns are airy, tender and soft as feathers. They are also very aromatic, with a pleasant creamy taste. Ideal for tea! Maria, thank you very much for the excellent recipe!
