Airy buns are tender and soft as fluff in the oven
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake airy soft buns? Start cooking with the dough. How to make bun dough? Prepare your food. All ingredients should be at room temperature, so remove them from the refrigerator in advance. The butter should become soft.
STEP 2

In a bowl, mix sifted wheat flour with dry yeast.
STEP 3

In another container, combine warm milk, honey, eggs, sugar and salt.
STEP 4

Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk.
STEP 5

Combine the flour and milk mixture and knead the dough. You can use a kitchen machine or make the dough by hand, but you need to knead it very well and for a long time.
STEP 6

Add soft butter in two stages, thoroughly kneading the dough after each. The finished dough should not stick too much to your hands. But a slight stickiness will still remain - this is normal.
STEP 7

Grease a deep bowl with oil, place the dough, cover with a towel and leave warm for 1 hour. During this time, the dough will increase approximately 3 times.
STEP 8

Punch down the dough. To make it more convenient to work with it further, roll the dough into a sausage.
STEP 9

Divide the resulting sausage into 8 equal parts and roll into balls. To ensure the weight of the balls is the same, weigh the dough on a scale and divide this weight by 8.
STEP 10

Lightly roll each piece of dough into a circle or oval.
STEP 11

Roll into a roll.
STEP 12

Pinch the seam along the length of the roll.
STEP 13

Connect the ends of the roll and pinch it together. You will get this neat piece.
STEP 14

Place the buns in a pan greased with butter, a short distance from each other.
STEP 15

Cover the pan with cling film or a towel and leave to rise for 20 minutes. After the specified time, the buns will rise well and straighten out.
STEP 16

All that remains is to decorate the buns. The butter for shaping should be cold, so keep it in the refrigerator until the shaping process.

Using scissors, make slits on top of the buns.
STEP 18

Place a small piece of butter into the slits.
STEP 19

Sprinkle sugar on top. Preheat the oven to 180°C. To ensure that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before cooking). Bake the buns in the oven for 20-25 minutes. The buns should be golden brown and beautiful.
STEP 20

Remove the finished buns from the oven, cool slightly and remove from the pan. They can be served either warm or cold. Bon appetit!
