Due to the high cost of caviar, black and even red, most Russians can only afford it on holidays. Its appearance makes it good to use as a garnish for other dishes. And some New Year's dishes cannot do without it at all - caviar is present in the mandatory composition of the products. Are there any useful tips and recommendations on how best to use this product in cooking?
The first thing to note: when purchasing, pay attention to the date of manufacture. The fresher the caviar, the brighter and more beautiful it looks. If you come across wrinkled, dried eggs in a jar, you can use a trick. Just add a little vegetable oil and leave overnight. The same method saves an open jar of caviar from spoiling and drying out.
The second useful tip: never cook more portions than required. The fact is that in the fresh air, caviar dries out quite quickly, which negatively affects its taste. It is better to prepare the food in such a way that, if necessary, you can quickly and easily prepare more snacks. Or build, for example, a canapé and leave some on a plate under a lid. When the first portion is finished, you can return to the kitchen for the second.
Third tip: if caviar is used as a filling, for example, in pancakes, make sure that they do not press too much on each other. So that the eggs do not burst.
Red and black caviar harmonize well with almost any vegetables, cheeses, mushrooms, and sauces. Easily sticks to sandwiches and canapés. And to give it a beautiful glossy shine, after the decoration process you can brush the red eggs with a brush dipped in sunflower oil.
