Lush kefir donuts
For rich sweet baked goods, it is not at all necessary to use yeast, dry or fresh. Kefir quite copes with the task of giving it splendor, tenderness and softness. Moreover, it can be of any fat content, it does not matter. After taking a sample, not everyone will guess that the delicious donuts are made with kefir and not with yeast.
However, using kefir does not mean giving up yeast, in one form or another. Or, for example, from baking powder, soda. The recipe usually indicates what can be added and what can be replaced with certain products. Usually take: kefir soda
In the first and second cases, milk is mixed with powders - the mass immediately becomes airy. And then other ingredients are added. The result is a soft dough that molds well and holds its shape. The donuts are made round or ring-shaped and then deep fried. For rings, roll out the dough into a layer, cut out circles with a glass, and cut a hole in the center with a glass. When finished, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Another advantage of yeast-free donut dough with kefir is that it does not need to be given time to proof. Although it should stand for 10-20 minutes before the main treatment.
Remove excess oil from donuts using paper towels.
