How to prepare zucchini for first feeding at home? Prepare the vegetables. If you are just starting complementary feeding, you can take less zucchini - 30-50 grams, so as not to simply waste food. It is best to give puree in the morning so that you can observe the child’s reaction all day. If any manifestations of allergies appear (rash, etc.), postpone the introduction of complementary foods for some time.

You can cook zucchini: in a slow cooker, in a double boiler, boil it in a saucepan, or place a metal colander on the saucepan and steam it. I used a steaming pan. Pour some water into a saucepan, place a steamer on it and place the zucchini there. Cover with a lid and steam until soft. If the zucchini can be easily pierced with a fork, then you can turn off the heat. It took me 25 minutes.

What to treat your little nephew? Now I know what – zucchini for the first feeding! I washed the zucchini well, peeled it and cut it into pieces. I decided to steam it in a slow cooker. It is very simple, fast and does not take time. I poured 1.5 cups of water into the bowl (cold). Turned on the “steam” mode for 30 minutes. After the time had passed, I pricked the zucchini pieces with a fork and they turned out to be soft. Immediately I pureed the zucchini hot with an immersion blender. The result was a very delicate consistency. The puree is not very thick, just right for a small child. But the thickness depends on the juiciness of the zucchini; in any case, you can dilute the puree with boiled water. Zucchini puree is just as tasty, sweetish as from a jar, only fresher! And most importantly, you know what it’s made of! Thanks to the author for the recipe!
